How much does energy cost today? Axpo tells you.

Can a walk near the office spark a communication opportunity? Yes. Spotting an empty space atop a building in Piazza XXV Aprile in Milan, we suggested to Axpo that they transform it into a daily observatory on energy prices.

The challenge: putting energy and gas prices in plain sight

Axpo is a leader in energy trading, and at a time when electricity and gas prices are subject to constant fluctuations, the company decided to invest in a large LED wall. Consistent with the company’s communication approach, focused on maximum transparency and sharing, this initiative displayed the market indices for gas and energy prices.

The idea: bringing the energy market to the top of a building

When, in 2022, the daily price of gas and energy was on everyone’s lips, we decided to make it public knowledge by displaying the indices atop a building in the center of Milan. In doing so, we equated it to those everyday things that naturally catch our attention, like the weather forecast or the current temperature.

The execution: not just indices

One idea led to another, and the LED wall quickly became a DOOH communication system, displaying trend graphs showing the fluctuations of energy and gas prices over the past 30 days. It featured a content schedule jointly signed by Pulsee and Axpo.
